Description
Vintage 1973 – 1975 Fender Telecaster with Hardshell Case – Refinished
This is a vintage 1973 – 1975 Fender Telecaster that has been professionally refinished. There is light edge wear visible (see photos) to the original finish. The neck pickup was replaced in 1989 with a Seymour Duncan Telecaster rhythm pickup, while the original bridge pickup was professionally rewound and reads at 6K ohms.
Both pickups sound fantastic: the neck is clean and articulate, while the bridge offers a sweet, warm tone with just the right amount of growl.
The original pots have been upgraded to 250K for smoother, more precise control. The original tailpiece cover is also included.
The serial number (#386567) dates from 1973–74, but the neck stamp (“DAVID P. 1303 2853”) confirms a 1975 build, which is consistent with CBS-era Fender production practices.
The body is ash, the neck is maple, and the frets are in excellent condition. The pickguard has a small crack at the bass side corner and light edge wear on the back—both cosmetic and pictured. The is light wear along the back edge.
It comes with a vintage 1960s-1970s hardshell case.
