Description
This is an incredibly clean and beautiful 1975 Fender Telecaster with its original finish. There is slight wear along the edges. The finish is not faded at all and is consistent throughout the top, bottom and the neck pocket. The neck pickup has been changed for a 1989 Seymour Duncan telecaster rhythm pickup (I believe it is a STR-1 vintage pickup). The bridge pickup is the original pickup but it has been rewound and comes in at 6K Ohms. Both pickups sound amazing. The neck pickup is clean and very “telecaster” sounding while the bridge pickup has a sweet, warm, and somewhat growly power to it.
The two pots for volume and tone have also been upgraded to 250K pots, which simply make them smoother and more accurate in adjustment. Other than that, the guitar is all original. It even has the original tailpiece cover and hard case!
The serial number dates from around 1973-1974, but the neck stamp is from m 1975. CBS-era guitars were often made this way, with bins of serial number plates that were used for a couple of years. I would rely more on the neck stamp with is: “DAVID P. 1303 2853”. There is minor wear on the fingerboard edges too. (see pictures).
The body is ash and the neck is all maple. The neck is the smoothest playing neck I’ve ever played on. The neck is in all original condition and the frets are in excellent condition. This guitar came from a large private collection and it was seldom played. There is very little/minor edge wear on the back edge/side.
Serial number: 386567
The case is also in excellent condition with its original liner and Fender logo.
