Description
This 1950s Kay N2 electric archtop acoustic guitar is really a great instrument. Kay offered lower-priced guitars in the 1940s -1960s, and the archtop was a big seller for them. The N2 archtop was typically only offered as an acoustic, but on occasion, Kay added a floating arm pickup to expand this guitar model into the electric archtop market. Inside the body, visible through the f-holes, is “L 2273” and “N 2”. L 2273 is the serial number and N 2 is the model. There are so many things to love about this guitar. #1, the headstock has the most classic looking Kay logo. It is an applied metal logo and looks as if it was from the 1940s. #2 the pickguard has the etched Kay logo, which is not on all models. #3 the floating-arm pickup is rare to find and sounds amazing. #4 The dot inlays are tortoise-shell style. #5 it sounds great. And lastly, #6 this is guitar is priced to allow someone to get an authentic 1950s electric archtop with the classic sound. The guitar comes with a vintage chipboard case.
