Description
1960s Teisco Imperial Fujigen 3-Pickup Thin Hollow Body Sunburst Electric Guitar
Up for sale is this circa 1967 Imperial (Teisco, Fujigen) archtop hollow body electric guitar made in Japan (MIJ). It features a three-color sunburst with three single-coil pickups. All of the hardware is chrome finished and original, except for three period correct Fender tuners.
The neck and string action are comfortable and low. The frets are in excellent condition up and down the neck. The neck is fairly narrow throughout. The neck has a laminate construction made of approximately 32 layers, making it extremely durable and straight.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in excellent condition. There are only a few small dings and marks on the body. The neck, near the side of the headstock on one side, has some wear. The pickguard was repaired in one small place near the screw hole. There is also a small mark near the low-E string on the headstock. Please see pictures for condition.
The three single-coil pickups are connected to three cast aluminum volume knobs, one cast aluminum tone, and three independent “mic” switches.
A Roadrunner soft-shell padded bag is included.
