This is a 1994 Sadowsky Nylon guitar in Caramel Burst, made by NYC luthier Roger Sadowsky in NYC. This is an electric, nylon-string guitar. Sadowsky Nylon guitars are hard to come by.

It has a chambered alder body with quilt maple top. The fingerboard is Madagascar Rosewood and the neck in maple with a nitro finish. This guitar is stunning to look at. The quilted maple top and its form / shape is superb.

The nylon string configuration, chambered body and piezo pickup make this guitar feel different. It has extremely good sustain and tonal qualities. The guitar is amazing to play. It combines the feel of high-end electric guitar, with the soft playing feeling of a classical acoustic due to the nylon strings, along with a sound that almost sounds like an acoustic playing through a humbucker. It has a very unique feeling and sound. The creative potential with this instrument is endless.

Serial number is 1767, placing it in 1994. The pickup is likely either a Fishman or Barbera under-saddle piezo pickup, but that is not confirmed.

Condition: Overall, the guitar is in very good to excellent condition and is all original.

  • Minor – There is a small ding to the left of the bridge (see pictures).
  • Minor – There is an abrasion mark on the back of the neck. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition.
  • Minor – There is one small ding on the back along with several other small indentations on the back of the guitar (see pictures).
  • Minor – Tiny indentations along edge (see pictures).
  • The neck is straight and the frets are in great condition.

The guitar is relatively light, weighing just under 6lbs.

It plays incredibly well and smoothly and has a beautiful sound.
