Tel-Ray Adineko (Ad-N-Echo) Model 1001 Tube Oil Can Delay 1965 1966 1967
Â
Up for sale is this late 1960s Adineko (or Ad-N-Echo, model 1001) delay unit built by Tel-Ray Electronics. The year is estimated to be between 1965 and 1967. The serial number is 9970.
A guitar was played through both inputs and the unit appears to be functioning as expected. Please see the video of it in use. The sound that comes out of this thing is awesome. When laying flat on a surface, there is a little static when you aren’t playing.. however, when the unit is tipped back about 1.5 – 2″ (as seen in the video), there is no static any longer and you hear it’s full beauty. The unit produces a dreamy echo effect that sort of sounds like a tape echo underwater. The unit features three knobs that control echo volume, reverberation, and the echo type (including long, short, and combined). There are two inputs and one output, plus a remote switch jack. All functions work well. The power cord is updated with a grounded plug, and the filter capacitors and diodes have been replaced. Other than these safety improvements, the unit remains original down to the 7199 tube. When the back is removed and the unit is turned on the spinning motor for the oil can is visible. Please message me with any questions.  Buyer pays calculated shipping via UPS. https://youtu.be/SX7DQRNhzQw
