Vintage 1930s Marshall 6 Tube Radio AM / PB / SW – Tombstone Style
Up for sale is this 1930s Marshall 6-tube radio. it is in the classic Art Deco tombstone style and has AM, Public Broadcast and Short-wave band options. It is in working condition (see video). With an external antenna, I was able to pickup local AM stations and short-wave stations.
The dial is wonderfully stylized with its various colors and brass surround. The knobs are wooden and turn / function smoothly.
The cabinet is in excellent condition, with only minor wear. The are no chips, deep scratches or stains on the finish. The cloth in the speaker is in excellent condition. The plug is taped up in two spots where the rubber insulation was worn away.
