This guitar is gorgeous. This pre-war 1936 Martin R-18 archtop acoustic sounds incredible, has amazing sustain, resonates fully / brightly, and is beautifully sized. The more I look at this guitar and play it, the more I think it’s fantastic.

Everything on this guitar is original including the sunburst-style finish and the hardware. The serial number is 67699, which places it firmly in 1936. The model number, the Martin logo and the serial number are all stamped inside the body directly under the strings on the bottom board. All bracing inside is in excellent condition.
 
The binding is very interesting on this guitar. Both the top and bottom bindings are tortoise shell and are subtle and quite elegant.
 
Overall the guitar is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere. There are several minor nicks and blemishes on the top surface and several buckle marks on the back (see the pictures).
 
The Grover tailpiece has the Martin logo on it and is in very good condition.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and it must be returned within 14 days of your purchase. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

    • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. There will be a 3% return fee deducted from the original amount. For example, if the purchase price was $100, you will receive $97.
