Description
This is a 1950s German-made archtop acoustic guitar finished in black lacquer and white accents. The first thing I want to mention about this instrument is how well it plays and sounds. The sound, projection and tone is really good. The action and neck profile is exceptional for my hands. The string action is low, the radius is comfortable, and the neck has a D shape.
The guitar features a beautiful ebonized lacquered single-cutaway body finished with a cream multi-layered binding both top and bottom. The f-holes are binding lined as well.
The Neck has binding along the edges. Beautiful block inlays extend edge-to-edge, which makes the neck appearance more elegant. The frets are in excellent condition and are smooth and full. The fingerboard is rosewood. The black and white headstock has a bone-inlaid white design and is bound on the edge with binding as well. One set of tuners has been replaced some time ago.
There is minor wear here a there, but nothing major. Some nicks and scratches in the paint as seen in the pictures. There are no repairs. The finish is beautifully aged with light lacquer craqueleur.
