Description
This is a circa 1920s Favilla Bros. Soprano Ukulele stamped “Made By Favilla Bros. New York, NY USA” on the back. There are no other labels or logos on the ukulele. It’s original olive green soft case / bag is included with the ukulele!
The ukulele has a very full and loud sound for its size. I believe it is modeled after a Martin Type 0 ukulele. It has an all mahogany body and a rosewood fingerboard. There is an inlaid ring around the soundhole, giving it an elegant subtle feeling.
It is in good overall condition with the following notes:
- Neck is straight and frets are in very good condition.
- The ukulele has its original finish and is in very good condition with just a few blemishes or minor dings. (see pictures)
- Bridge and tuners are original and work well.
- The neck and body are in sound structural-working condition.
- There are two repaired hairline cracks on the back board. The cracks are professionally repaired and there is no impact on sound quality. (see pictures)
