Description
This is a Jay Turser JT-142 Semi-Hollow Body electric guitar in very good condition. It features a double cutaway hollow body with a rockabilly / jazz box style. The body is similar in many ways to an ES-335. There are two humbucker pickups, along with two volume and tone knobs. The selector switch allows for bridge only, neck only or dual pickups. The blonde wood has a beautiful flamed pattern throughout.
The quality of this guitar is super impressive. I’ve never had a Jay Turser before, but after playing this one, it will not be my last. The hardware, wood selection, inlay work and tone is outstanding.
The neck is super straight and the frets are in mint condition. The tuners feel high-quality and work flawlessly.
Let’s talk about how this guitar sounds… It sounds awesome. It has amazing action and feels silky smooth. The bridge pickup can get some warm but edgy tones, while the neck pickup sounds exactly like you want it to… nice and warm. Jazz, blues, rockabilly and straight up rock will sound great on this one.
The neck has beautiful trapezoid inlays with inverted triangles.
All of the hardware is gold-toned. There are some areas with minor tarnishing for example on the back of the bridge plate and along the bridge / intonation piece. The pickups have some light marks here and there.
The guitar comes with a travel backpack soft case.
