Epiphone by Gibson S-500 SuperStrat Strat Electric Guitar 1986 – Black Hardware

This a vintage 1986 Epiphone by Gibson S-500 SuperStrat with Sharkfin inlays, rosewood fretboard and high-end black hardware.

This Epiphone S-500 has all of the higher-end options included. It has the original Kahler Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, original Kahler locking nut system, and original whammy / tremolo bar. It also has a holder for the allen key tools used for locking the strings and releasing strings, etc. The tuners are black and all original. Even the input jack receptacle is black.

The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The body is made of alder. This is a heavy guitar with a weight of 9lbs and 4oz.

The guitar has a pearl-white finish and black pickguard. It features a humbucker at the bridge, a single coil pickup at the neck and a single coil in the middle (HSS configuration). It has a five-way toggle switch, one volume and two tones.

Overall, the guitar is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. The action is excellent and the tonal quality of this guitar is also excellent.

The guitar includes its original case, which has lots of band stickers on it from over the years. This instrument was owned by a punk-rock guitarist from the 1980s and 1990s living in Woodstock, NY. So you’ll see a lot of local Woodstock references with the stickers.
